
The Fundación Casa Cultural La Chispa opens new registrations for the semester courses of the second semester of 2020.
At La Chispa we are opening semester courses and we look forward to welcoming you back to our home. This time we have seven semi-presential courses full of creativity: Pacific Music, Creative Writing – short novel, Mostacilla: weaving the story of Abya Yalla, Artist’s Book – spinning stories, Traditional Animation, Guitar for children, and Guitars for youth and adults. All our courses suggest a contribution of 300,000 pesos and attendance will be conditioned by the fact that there is no new quarantine that makes the development of the course impossible. In that case, each course will be completed virtually.
Pacific Music
This is a historical course in our house. Here, the students will be able to learn how to interpret different instruments and rhythms of the Pacific culture. We offer it by the hand of our friend Sara Chacón.

Creative Writing – short novel
This course is designed for people who have already participated in the first semester or for writers who already have a first draft written. It focuses on editing the first draft of your novel and will be given by Gina Spigarelli.

Artist’s book
We will undertake the creation of an artist’s book, exploring various textile materials that will be intervened with natural dyes, we will learn various classical embroidery and relief stitches, we will play with collage using photographs, also with different types of paper, we will have a research stage to stimulate our creativity using mood board, we will navigate through our emotions and sensory perceptions to create a story and capture it in this book. This course is in charge of Alejandra Vera.

Traditional 2D animation (frame by frame)
During the course the student will learn different techniques of 2D animation frame by frame, this, through practical exercises that will gradually allow him to develop an animation (sequence or scene) that will be presented at the end of the educational process. This course will be given by Daniel Olaya.

Mostacilla: Weaving the story of Abya Yalla
During this course each student will learn the different techniques, reading of the weaving patterns and history around this ancestral practice, as well as creating a loom on which to display the knowledge learned. This course is proposed by Manuela Diosa.

Guitar for children
Theoretical and practical exercises for children to learn to play this classic instrument. This course will be dictated by Yhoan Cadavid.
